Since all those writers in the US and UK evidently think its awesome to go on strike and stop all productions. I've succumb myself to watch another TV Series.. just for the sake of it.... at first!
But seriously, here's another reason, (well at least for me) to love TV again. Think "The OC" meets "Cruel Intentions" meets me. haiyah!
Storyline as told by imdb *cuz I'm kinda lazy to write it but dying to share it* copy paste syndrome mode on!! ;p
.................................................
Welcome to New York's Upper East side where the wealthy and connected mingle at benefits and try to deal with their always dramatic love lives, not to mention picking colleges.
Blair Waldorf is the so-called toast of adolescence in her world; she and her friends, Kati Farkas and Isabel Coates, go to a prep school and fancy parties with their rich parents.
Blair is envied by her adversaries because she is thought to have the perfect life, not just because of her gorgeous boyfriend, Nate Archibald, but because she's also planning on getting into her dream college, Yale.
With everyone worried about college(or procrastinating on worrying, which everyone seems to be doing), and senior year dragging along, her seemingly perfect life is interrupted by her ex-best friend, the beautiful Serena van der Woodsen, coming back into town after getting kicked out of boarding school.
Serena comes back into her life, and into the eyes of Blair's boy friend. When everything Blair knows starts to fall apart, everyone will realize that her life is far from perfect.
Will life in the the Upper East Side redeem itself of what it's really supposed to be? Or will the false facade reveal that the rich have the same problems as the not so rich (Jenny and Dan Humphrey), if not more. And just maybe Jenny and Dan are all the more happy with their simple, not so expectant lives.
Actor: Yui as Kaoru Amane and Takashi Tsukamoto as Koji Fujishiro aka Yumms!! hehe
Storyline ~
I find myself loving every bit of the storyline... Its heartwarming, truly touching your heart. What makes it great is the results feeling that makes you appreciate your life. What you have.. Who you have it with.
Its a story of a young girl, Kaoru who suffers from an incurable disease Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP) basically means that the very sight of sunlight could potentially kill her. Thus her only chance of a seemingly normal life is during the night till right before sunrise.
*Now I feel I could relate to that... halah as if.. just because I dont sleep yo! moron.. tak sama lah... hehehe*
She loves to sing. Fortunately for her she can sing. The girl have a pretty pretty voice. Unlike me. So unfortunate but so true! Haiyah.. back to storyline yah..
From her window she could see her crush. Koji who btw.. CUTE as hell! hehe. Its pretty stalkish though. Watching someone everyday from afar. Admiring the very sight of that person but hey its Koji so its OK!! stalk away..
One night, Koji passed by her in the street where she sings. She ran after him. Introduce herself in blunt force way, which btw is so cute! Long story short, they become close. He takes her to Yokohama to sing, she immidiately draws a crowd. He immidiately falls for her.. Oh la la
This is no ordinary love. The obstacle is her illness. He in returns became so determined to help her to achieve extraordinary dreams which is to record her song.
The story is truly inspiring. I love it. Simple as that! I love Koji.. lho.. wuehehe
vid: my ultimo favourite scene! I would vote BEST romance scene EVER!! I mean... come on... talk about literally catched when you fall... damn! I want!!! wuehehe
Four Months Later ~ It's four months after the Peter and Nathan show exploded in the sky over Manhattan. Nathan's a drunk, Peter's shirtless and chained up (for which I am very grateful), Hiro's in seventeenth-century Japan, someone's targeting the Old Heroes, Claire's in a new school and has a floating stalker with a crappy attitude, Bennet's a copy boy, Matt's still annoying, and Mohinder's trying to infiltrate the OWI. So, yeah, it's business as usual in the Heroes-verse.
Lizards ~ How to avoid expensive pedicures? Just cut off your toes. Claire does it, and it's saving her a fortune! But in this instance, she's trying to see what she can and can't do: apparently, she can grow new limbs just like a newt. Hiro faffs around back in 1671 some more and learns that Kensei is a "godsend" in more ways than one. Mohinder delivers the Haitian Sensation to Mr. Bennet as the Irish hooligans deliver Peter's name to him. But Peter has his shirt back on by then, so I'm really not paying much attention. *sigh desu-ne*
Kindred ~ There's a lot of kissing happening in this episode. Well, at least, there's SOME kissing in this episode, which is more than they've ever had in any other episode. Claire kisses West after he flies her to the beach without a plane, Caitlin kisses Peter after his chest spits out some bullets, Maya and Alejandro don't kiss because that would be incest, and Hiro wishes he could kiss Yaeko AND Kensei because he loves them both so much
The Kindness of Strangers ~ Matt persuades Molly to look into the abyss, and the abyss looks back -- in the form of Matt's dad. Maya and Alejandro meet up with Sylar, Claire's secret relationship with West gets off the ground, and Micah's cousin Monica discovers a superpower that should soon have her spending a lot more time in front of the tube. If only I had that excuse.
stay tuned for more...... aaaaarrrrggghhhhhh Peter puuleeeaaassseeee take off your shirt on next episode... hua hua hua

As the heroes arrive in New York, Nathan grapples with destiny while Hiro learns the secret of his past.....
Angela Petrelli is forced to play a bigger role in Nathan, Peter, and Claire's life. The truth about the death of Nathan and Peter's father is finally revealed along with his true identity. When Nathan finds out that he may have a chance to become more than a Congressman, he is confronted with a decision that he must make. As election day nears some try to leave NYC. HRG and Matt learn another surprising secret. Also, Sylar is eating another hero's brain. Hiro's dad returns.
~ The rest I will review after I watch it aight! Its airs on NBC tonight at 9pm!!
Hiro and Ando are back in the past, and they decide to go see Mystery Sock to figure out what they're supposed to do. Peter begs Claire not to go to Paris because she's supposed to save the world. He tells her that he's going to explode and that she's somehow a part of all this and if she leaves, maybe some bad stuff will happen. Parkman, Bennet, and Sprague are still traveling together across the country, heading for New York.
Sylar paints himself stealing Ted's power and realizes that this makes him the exploding man. He decides to call his mother and then go pay her a visit. Hiro and Ando show up and almost get caught by Sylar, but they teleport out just in time. Sylar heads off to see his mom, and Hiro and Ando follow him so that Hiro can bust out the Sword of Destiny and finally off the psychopath. Thompson hooks up with Mohinder and invites him to meet little Molly Walker, a child with the ability to find anyone, anywhere, but who also happens to be very ill with the same disease that killed Mohinder's sister. Thompson wants Mo to cure her because she's the only person on the planet who can find Sylar. Mohinder does find a cure for her, and a new friendship is born.
D.L. and Jessica are having all sorts of issues with each other, so they decide to phase into Linderman's office in search of clues as to Micah's whereabouts. They find out that Linderman basically orchestrated their entire lives and that they're one big science experiment, with Micah the ultimate conclusion. Peter learns that Claire knows an exploding man of her own, Ted Sprague, and they ask Nathan to track him down just in case Ted's the bomb instead of Peter. Nathan agrees, but as soon as Peter and Claire leave, he totally reaches out and touches Linderman. Later on, Claire and Peter go to visit Nathan's office and see that he's talking to Thompson. Claire decides then and there to get the hell out of town, regardless of what Peter wants her to do.
Sylar visits his mother, and she's just about as batshit as he is. He wants to stay with her so that he can avoid killing millions of people, but after he shares his special powers with her, she freaks the hell out and tries to stab him with some scissors. Unfortunately, she winds up stabbing herself. Hiro shows up to kill Sylar, but somehow Sylar can resist the time freeze, and he scares the bejesus out of Hiro when he grabs the sword in one hand and orders Hiro to kill him. Hiro chickens out, of course, and Ando shows up to distract Sylar so that Hiro can teleport them out of there. Hiro's sword is broken in half, however, so it looks like killing Sylar will be harder than they thought.
Peter tries to convince Claire that she should stick around so that she can shoot him in the head in case he starts to explode. Claire's not fond of this idea. Ma Petrelli visits Nathan and pretty much gets him to agree to follow through on the Linderman plan. Peter and Claire go to a spot that Peter saw in his visions so that they can possibly meet up with Sprague. Sure enough, Bennet, Sprague, and Parkman show up, and Claire and her father have a mini-reunion. Too bad that Peter starts absorbing Ted's power and can't control it. The show ends on a "Will he or won't he?" note that's really silly because, hi, we all watched the previews, NBC! We know he doesn't explode THEN.
On a Very Special Heroes, it's five years in the future and all hell has broken loose. Apparently, it was Sylar who exploded all those years ago, both Micah and Ando were killed in the blast, and the remaining Heroes are all bitter and hunted. Past Hiro meets up with his future bad-ass self and they determine that they have to get Hiro back to the past so he can kill Sylar and stop the bomb. But before they can send him back, Matt shows up and captures Past Hiro because he thinks he's really Future Hiro and Future Hiro's a terrorist. Also? Matt works for Homeland Security, which is a fancy name for Nathan's Dirty Henchman since Nathan is now, in fact, the President. Nathan's kind of a dick in the future and he's partnered up with Mohinder, who seems to have been tasked with finding a "cure" for the Heroes. But he's getting nowhere with his research, and Nathan's getting antsy. So he wants Mohinder to start annihilating all the Heroes as a precautionary measure because Heroes are pains in the ass.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Texas, Bennet and Hana Wireless are running a Hero relocation program, complete with fake DNA identification methods. Bennet no longer wears his signature horn-rimmed glasses, so he's clearly kissed the OWI goodbye. Future Hiro and Ando show up on Bennet's doorstep after going to Vegas to try and find Peter. Peter's there, but he's invisible and dating Niki, and he's also really, really super hot. And has a big-ass scar on his face. Which only makes him hotter. Niki doesn't want him to help Hiro and Ando, so he doesn't, which is why they go to Texas to ask Bennet for help locating Peter and all the other Heroes.
Bennet's too busy trying to SAVE Heroes to round a bunch up just for Hiro's purposes, and he's also trying to keep Claire from getting captured. She's a waitress at the Burnt Toast Diner now, and she's about to get married, so she doesn't seem to keen on hitting the road yet again just because her daddy is paranoid. She could do worse than listen to her father, though, since Parkman shows up at his "office" in order to capture the second Hiro. But Peter shows up and (hotly) saves the day and teleports them outta there. When Bennet arrives, it becomes clear that he's worked out a twisted deal with Parkman that Parkman quickly terminates after learning where Claire is. And by "terminates," I mean "puts a bullet in Bennet's brain." Matt picks up Claire at the diner and takes her to see her real father.
After Nate orders Mohinder to kill Past Hiro, he heads off to the Petrelli Palace to see his super-powered daughter. He gives a snotty speech about not needing any more powers, now that he has Claire and that's when we see blood appear on Claire's forehead and realize that Nathan isn't really Nathan, he's Sylar and he didn't blow up all those years ago, it was really Peter, and now Sylar's basically bent on world destruction and Hero-cide.
Finally, Peter teams up with Future Hiro and Ando to bust Past Hiro out of his temporary prison before Mohinder can stick him in the neck with a needle. Just when we think Mo is going to kill the poor guy, he sticks The Haitian Sensation in the neck instead. He helps Hiro to escape, but not before Parkman shoots Future Hiro. And then Sylar shows up, and he and Peter get into a Battle Royale, and Mo and Ando have to convince Past Hiro to suck it up and get his shit together and get back to the past already so they can get on with the business of killing Sylar. In the end Hiro makes it back and they're primed and ready to put a sword through Sylar's heart. Amen.
Bennet's being held captive by the Evil Eric Roberts, but he manages to throw some thoughts toward Parkman, and Matt starts taking orders from him in his mind. Bennet orders Matt to bust RadioacTed out of his own cell, and they in turn bust Bennet out of his. They all join forces and agree to head to New York to take down some tracking system so that Claire can be safe or something. Yeah, that didn't make a lot of sense to me either, but who cares? They're back, baby!
Linderman reveals to Nathan that, not only does he have a power of his own (healing), he also used to be partnered up with a bunch of other superheroes in the past. He claims that they all went bad, but since Linderman wants to blow up New York just so Nathan will get into the White House, I'd say his perception of good and bad is a little fuzzy, wouldn't you? Nathan agrees with me because he tells Linderman to go and shite. But later he kind of starts digging that painting of him in the White House, and I think he's going to let a lot of innocent people die just so he can get a blow job in the Oval Office.
Peter repeats his visit to Mohinder's place and once again finds the poor man stapled to the ceiling. Sylar appears and starts to rip Peter's skull open, but Peter heals too quickly for him to gain access to the gray matter inside. They engage in a gnarly little battle that ends with Peter dead and Sylar knocked out by a newly brave Mohinder. Mo then takes Peter directly to Mama Petrelli's house, interrupting a heartwarming chat the old lady is having with Claire about how Claire needs to shut her pie hole and go to France already.
Meanwhile, in Vegas, DL is suddenly onto Jessica impersonating Niki (did I miss something somewhere? When the hell did THAT happen?) and he declares that he's taking Micah away and that Jessica better just suck it up and deal. Jessica actually seems to consider this as an option because, hey, she's really not exactly PTA mother of the year, you know? Linderman then requests a meeting with Jessica and tells her that he needs to borrow Micah for a bit. Jessica tells him to go fuck himself. So Linderman brings in Candice the Wonder Morpher to impersonate Jessica impersonating Niki, and Candice hands little Micah right over to the Big Bad Boss. What the man has planned for the poor boy is anyone's guess.
Nathan returns home to weep over his dead brother's body. Claire busts in and wants a moment of her own with her dead uncle. She removes the glass from Peter's head and he totally comes back to life. Everyone acts surprised, but Mama Petrelli just informs them that she's known about her "special" sons since long before even THEY did. Nathan then tells Claire that he loves her and everything, but could she go to Paris already because dude's gotta go fondle some interns in the Lincoln bedroom, dammit!
After Sylar disappears from his floor, Mohinder calls Bennet, only to have Evil Eric Roberts show up instead. Their meeting is relatively unfruitful and only serves to creep Mohinder out because Evil Eric Roberts is really skeevy. Sylar's across town, paying a visit to Isaac, who appears to have grown an extra set of brass balls because he bravely faces off against Sylar even though the man is seriously murderous. Sylar kills him anyway. Bye, Isaac!
And, finally, Hiro and Ando have landed five years in the future and the bomb's already gone off. So they decide to go visit Mystery Sock. Instead of finding their friend, however, they just find this whacked-out version of his studio and…Future Hiro! And he looks mighty pissed to see them, let me tell you. But his soul patch is the BOMB. Um. Unfortunate choice of words, no?
The final episode before the hiatus begins with Peter and Isaac mourning Simone, only Isaac's idea of mourning involves shooting at Peter a whole hell of a lot. The Haitian Sensation gets orders from someone to take Claire out of the country. She'd rather go live with Peter, but the Haitian puts the kibosh on that idea. We discover that Nathan's actually working with the FBI to bring down Linderman, and they want him to record a meeting they're having in Vegas. Peter sneaks a visit to Nathan and tells him about Simone. Nathan's only suggestion is to call Mohinder, but Peter disappears before help can arrive.
Mrs. Bennet surprises us all by telling her husband that she knows all about Claire and that he told her not to tell anyone that she knows the truth. They agree to tell no one that they know what's really going on. Bennet's new partner arrives, and she's hot and kind of bad-ass and can somehow absorb other people and project herself as them, and she wears really short skirts. Mohinder finally wakes up and smells the chai and realizes that Sylar isn't Zane, and drugs him. Unfortunately, Sylar's all-powerful, and he stops the drugs and attacks Mohinder and staples him to the ceiling.
In Vegas, Nathan gets Hiro into Linderman's Museum of Creepy Isaac Paintings. Hiro almost gets arrested while stealing the sword, only to have Ando save the day because Ando is now a damn security guard. So, Hiro gets his damn sword, and before security shows up, he transports himself and Ando into the future where the bomb has already flattened New York. Speaking of New York, after an impromptu and creepy visit from Bennet and his new partner Candace, Isaac goes batshit crazy in his studio and starts painting again. What he paints looks bloody and disturbing and a lot like…himself, with the top of his skull cut off.
Nathan and Niki meet up in Vegas while Jessica's sleeping inside her head, and Niki tries to save his life by telling him that Linderman's onto his association with the feds. She tells him to take whatever deal Linderman offers him or choose death. Nathan decides to kill Linderman with Jessica's gun. When he goes to meet the man, he's in the big hotel kitchen, chopping the shit out of some vegetables. Oh, he's also Malcolm Fucking McDowell, people. Linderman makes individual pot pies while Nathan contemplates murder. Linderman then tells him that he knows he can fly and he knows all about the Heroes. He offers Nathan a shot at the presidency and, of course, Nathan doesn't shoot him.
Candace dupes Bennet into spilling his guts about Claire when she impersonates Mrs. Bennet. Looks like Bennet's goose, she is cooked. Claire gets away from the Haitian Sensation and pays a visit to Peter's apartment, but only Mama Petrelli is there. Luckily, she not only knows who Claire is, she's apparently partnered up with the Haitian Sensation. So Grandma P is the one who's been looking out for Claire all this time! Awesome! Peter goes to visit Mohinder and Sylar attacks him, saying that Peter's like him and wouldn't it be cool to find out what makes Peter's brain tick? And that's when Sylar starts to slice Peter's head open…
It's Papa Bennet backstory time! What you need to know from the past: Eric Roberts, looking like a Madame Tussaud's version of himself, is Papa Bennet's boss. We don't learn much about him, but if he's played by Eric Roberts my guess is you don't want to fuck with him.
Papa Bennet didn't adopt Claire willingly, either; he was ordered to by…George Takei. While Hiro played with a Gameboy nearby. He was also ordered not to get too close to Claire, because, Takei says, if she starts to manifest, they'll take her back.
Claude used to be Papa Bennet's partner; Papa Bennet was supposed to kill him, because Claude was protecting a Hero, which is against company policy; Papa Bennet probably would have skipped shooting Claude if Claude had told him who it was, but Claude doesn't, so Papa Bennet, who is a shitty shot, pumps a few rounds into him, but Claude winks out before Papa Bennet can confirm the kill.
We also meet Teen Haitian, whose necklace is a silver version of Jessica's tattoo.
Back in the present, Sprague and Parkman hold the Bennet family hostage; Parkman is trying to get to the truth by reading people's minds, and also trying to keep Sprague from flipping his shit and going all fusion-vengeance on the household. Claire is still pissed at her father and opens her mind up to Parkman to get back at him. After a bunch of Mexican-standoff misdirection that gets Claire shot, reveals her secret to her mother…again, and makes us sit through a lot of speechifying about faith, Eric Roberts shows up in the present day to manage the situation. His idea of "managing" is to shoot at Ted. Nice work, Ambassador -- Ted gets so pissed that he goes nuclear and can't stop his own chain reaction, and Claire's the only one who can get close enough to him to administer a tranq. Everyone winds up with mild radiation burns and Casa Bennet looks like it's burning to the ground, but don't worry -- Mr. Muggles gets out alive.
At the end of the episode, Sprague and Parkman are drugged up and strapped to beds in the Primatech lab. Papa Bennet tries to blame everything on the Haitian (I think…the web of finger-pointing got kind of confusing); Eric Roberts pretends he buys it, but obviously doesn't, and is like, "Okay, so, bring Claire in. Like now. So we can probe her brain and then kill her." That last part may have been silent. Cut to a tearful father-daughter scene in the car which culminates on the same bridge Papa Bennet "killed" Claude on, Papa Bennet ordering the Haitian to 1) shoot him (in the abdomen, not lethally) and 2) wipe his mind of everything so that Eric Roberts can't find Claire. Claire is bawling, I'm bawling…even the Haitian seemed kind of touched. Could have been pollen, though.
A brand new Hero appears in the form of Hana "Wireless" Gitelman. She's like a Blackberry, only with a leather jacket and boobs. Isaac spills his guts to Bennet about how Peter's alive and in New York. Bennet gives him a gun so that he can save the world from dangerous invisible guys with emo bangs. Mohinder and Sylar are on their Cross-Country Ride Straight to Hell, and their first stop is at Dale's garage in Montana. She has superhearing, and the first thing she superhears is Sylar's heart beating abnormally quickly because he's so close to the braaaaaains that he's reaaaaaally excited. Claude continues his Education of Peter with a little stick-play on the roof (dirty!), and they discover that Peter absorbed Sylar's telekinesis. Then Claude hits him in the face with his staff. And, no, that is not a euphemism. Mrs. Bennet collapses in the kitchen, and Claire calls her father while Mr. Muggles laps up spilled milk from around his food-giver's body. Mr. Muggles: "What? Two-second rule, dude. Plus, I was thirsty. Shut up."
Elsewhere in storylines I'm tired of fucking seeing, Hiro teams up with Tom Cullen to go after Ando, and Matt and his wife fight about the diamonds he stole. Yes, they're both about that exciting. Hiro? Still doesn't have the sword. Matt? Still doesn't have any balls. But, the show picks up a bit in the most awesome moment of the episode: Peter saves Claude after HRG and the Haitian Sensation attack them on the Superroof. How does he do this? First, he freezes the taser prods in mid-air, then dumps Claude over the side of the building, then he FLIES AFTER HIM and FLIES OFF THROUGH THE SKY. Kick. Ass.
After we learn that Claude has been on the run from HRG for years, the Invisible Duo figure out that Isaac was the one who gave them up for bait. Peter is understandably peeved. Simone goes to see Nathan and tries to convince him to go public with their abilities. You can imagine how well this goes over with Nathan. Matt meets Radioactive Ted and Wireless in a cemetery and they convince him to join forces with them in order to locate and take down Bennet and OWI. Claire's mother has a brain hemorrhage thanks to the Haitian Sensation, and little Clairebear has had just about enough of her father's lies. But the minute she declares that she wants to protect the family from Bennet, Matt and Ted show up to get answers to their questions. And, finally Angry Peter confronts Isaac and gunplay ensues, only the bullets don't wind up in Peter, they wind up in Simone, who shows up at the last minute to give Isaac's key back. So much for a romantic reunion, huh, Isaac?
Firemommy blackmails Flydaddy with her knowledge of their daughter's existence. I hope she flames up and then someone sprays her with fire extinguisher and she drowns. What? She's an ass. Claire demands to meet her real father, but Firemommy tells her he doesn't want to know her. Oh, and then she lies about the amount of money he's giving them. See? Ass.
Hiro tells Ando that a hero needs to have hope. Fortunately for both of them, Hope is right around the corner in the form of Missy Pyle. The boys agree to retrieve her pink rhinestone-encrusted bag from her abusive boyfriend in exchange for an introduction to Linderman. Turns out she's kind of a conniving bitch, though, and she punches Hiro in the face, shoves him in a storage closet, and takes Ando with her, leaving Hiro behind.
Matt goes to work as Greasy McFatNut's bodyguard. Linderman hires Jessica to kill Greasy McFatNut, because Greasy McFatNut stole the two million Jessica stole from Linderman. Oh, it's such a twisted tale. So, Matt accompanies Greasy on a diamond buy in LA and learns that Linderman's "man" is about to come and kill Greasy McFatNut. So Matt decides to save him, even though it's pretty clear the guy is a major douchebag. A chase ensues, with Niki making an appearance outside her mirrored prison to plead with Jessica to stop being a baddie. Jessica ignores Niki and blithely tosses Matt out a window. He's fine, of course, even though Greasy is basically cut in half by Jessica. Matt manages to walk away with a shitload of diamonds, which he totally deserves.
Zane Taylor, one of the Heroes from La Carte des Héros, contacts Mohinder and wants to meet, but Sylar gets there first. Mohinder finally shows up, but Sylar's already taken Zane's brain and his talent, which seems to be the ability to melt metal things. Sylar enthusiastically offers to accompany Mohinder on his quest to find more Heroes, and an unlikely partnership is forged. That is not going to end well, people. Not at all.
Nathan goes to see Meredith and he gives her the money she asked for. He wants to see his daughter, but Claire's already left. Fortunately, she's hiding outside and she hears their entire discussion. Unfortunately, Nathan leaves without meeting her. This doubly sucks because Claire's poor mother is now suffering from Alzheimer's or something, most likely due to the umpteen brain vacuums she's suffered at the hands of the Haitian Sensation.
And, finally, Jessica gets another assignment. This time? Nathan's her target. Go ahead. You can say it. Dun dun DUNNNNN!
Genesis - How soon before I run out of songs with "hero" in the title? Let's take bets. It's exposition central in this first episode. We meet some of the potential heroes, including a teleporting Japanese cutie and a stripper who sees an evil version of herself in the mirror. There's tons more that happens, but utterly NO WAY to deliver all the goods in this small amount of space. Trust me on this.
Don't Look Back - Hiro has teleported into the future by about five weeks, Niki's alter ego has cleaned up her murderous mess and led her to a killing field, both Petrelli boys can fly, Claire's father is a creep, and Suresh decides to track down all the heroes to carry on his father's work. And a new Hero makes an appearance in the form of Matt Parkman, a telepathic cop who discovers a hidden child. Oh, Agent Sean. Welcome back!
One Small Leap - Hiro and Ando embark on a global road trip to save the world, Mohinder discovers that Sylar is an OCD freak with a sin complex, Matt discovers that Sylar can do all sorts of shit he never imagined and that a bald black man has it out for him, Niki digs, Peter falls in more ways than one, and Claire gets stabbed in the head by a rapist, only to wake up on an coroner's table with her internal organs waving at her FROM HER CHEST.
Collision - The Heroes are starting to intersect, and the world it is rejoicing. Or just us comic book geeks. Peter and Mohinder meet, then Niki/ikiN and Nathan meet, then Hiro and Peter meet, and then Claire decides to take Jock the Rapist out of the picture by driving him directly into a wall.
Hiros - It seems that, in order to save the world, the Heroes, in particular Peter, must save the cheerleader. She's a little busy needlessly lying in a hospital bed while her father has her would-be rapist's brain wiped, but I'm sure she'll be needing a hand at some point in this series.
Better Halves - "Hey la, hey la, he broke my GI tract!" Also, Claire meets some actors pretending to be her biological parents.
Nothing To Hide - Checking in: Mrs. Nathan Petrelli and her wheelchair; ikiN's real name; a potential Hero with "rad" powers; and Micah's calling plan. Checking out: Charles Deveaux, who dies; Isaac, who takes his paintings and bolts; Matt's marriage, because Janice is a cheating cheater who cheats; and any interest Sars may ever have had in Mohinder's pompous narration.
Seven Minutes To Midnight - A cute diner waitress with a photographic memory ensorcells Hiro, adorably. Elsewhere, Isaac goes back on the junk, Mohinder goes back to India, and Ted -- after briefly cooling down while comparing origin stories with Matt -- goes back to irradiating his foes instead of just using his words.
Homecoming - Peter manages to save the cheerleader, but another cheerleader dies, so does that mean he saved the right cheerleader? And it doesn't really matter anyway, because Sylar gets away and then gets captured by Eden, whose voice brings men to their knees. Literally.
Six Months Earlier - It's six months ago and Niki's alter ego, Jessica, shows up for the first time and we learn that she's really Niki's dead sister or something, Claire discovers she can miraculously heal, Hiro tries to save Charlie and fails, and Sylar turns out to be a guy named Gabriel who has some serious ego issues. The "how it all began" answers are in short supply, really. But Pasdar is hot, so who cares?
Fallout - Eden kills herself rather than let Sylar take her brain, Niki turns herself in to the police so that Jessica can't harm her family, Isaac paints the future and it has a dinosaur in it, Claire discovers that her dad might not be such a good guy after all, and Peter has a dream about the future where he blows up. I can't believe we have to wait over six weeks to find out what happens.
Godsend - The Heroes have returned after a nice, long winter vacation, and all they brought back was a fake sword, a straightjacket-clad Niki/Jessica, a comatose Peter, a whacked-out Sylar, and a cheerleader who can't figure out if she's been saved or not. I would have preferred a shot glass or something, but I'm so happy to see them all that I'll just say "thanks" and ask to see their vacation photo slideshow!
The Fix - Peter and Claude team up for a mentoring relationship that involves Claude teaching Peter how to not blow up. Hiro's kidnapped by his dad, who turns out to be George Effin' Takei, which is totally awesome. Sylar dies but then comes back to life and is about ready to kick some serious HRG ass. And Claire discovers her birth mother, who is alive and well and flammable.
Distractions - Claire's mother is a firestarter, and her father is none other than Nathan Petrelli. Claude throws Peter off a building in an effort to teach him how to control his powers. Sylar is thwarted in his attempt to murder Ma Bennet, but winds up getting away because the Haitian Sensation is pretty to look at, but not all that quick on his feet. And Jessica's back, this time for good.
It seems that March Madness applies not only to the weather, but also to the shenanigans at Seattle Grace Hospital, because now it appears that, despite having consumed an entire bottle of booze, Izzie and George DID have sex (more than once!) and now Izzie thinks their hook-up was "God's plan" or something, because it was so very, very right, even though those of us who've been playing along at home have never seen any evidence of sexual chemistry between the two of them ever. After a lot of hangover-induced, guilt-ridden agony from George and squirrelly behavior from Izzie and a very poorly timed visit from Callie's dad, Hector Elizondo, George tells Izzie that he can't tell Callie about their assignation, because it wouldn't be fair to hurt Callie just to ease his conscience. Izzie reluctantly agrees, but does a lot of crying, because…she's in love with George? If you say so.
As far as everyone else goes, Cristina overly relates to a man who has to have his foot amputated, which somehow leads to her patching it up with Burke, agreeing to have a wedding. Because he's her metaphorical other foot or something. (I generally enjoy the way this show uses symbolism, but come on.) Meredith's hair looks awesome, and she successfully performs a fancy-schmancy bone-grafting procedure under the guidance of McSteamy, despite some overprotective yada yada from McDreamy, who seems to be having some kind of PTSD in the wake of Meredith's near-death experience. (And they say this show isn't getting soapy.) Meredith's pretty sure her dead mother would be proud of her for this, which is a nice step toward avoiding getting into the kind of emotional state where you let yourself drown. Alex continues to be awesome in general, this week helping Crush choose her new face and admitting to her in the process that his nascent relationship with Addison is "complicated." And everyone else is acting totally batty because they're being interviewed for the Chief position and suspect to a man that Marlowe is going to sweep it out from under them.
So, it's some period of time after Meredith had her near-death experience and her mother died. She's buried her mother (well, cremated her actually) and is returning to work after recovering from her accident. And who should show up at the hospital? Her father and stepmother, worried and wanting to spend time with Mere. She ends up inviting them to her house for a very awkward dinner. It gets even more awkward when Meredith's father mistakes a memory from Meredith's childhood as being from his other daughter's childhood. Whoops. A blown fuse leads to Mere's dad wandering off in the dark while Meredith hangs out and bonds with her stepmother. The evening ends with Meredith actually finding a new friend in her stepmother and then realizing that her father did love her when he fixes a porch swing. (That last bit made more sense in context.)
Meanwhile, the race for Chief of Surgery heats up when Richard invites a hotshot cardio surgeon to come by and hang out. Even better, he's played by Robin Colcord. And then it turns out that he was (a) Cristina's med school professor and (b) Cristina's med school lover. Which opens Cristina up for all kinds of mockery and throws Burke into a jealous tizzy. Apparently, the fact that Cristina once had a thing with another heart surgeon makes Burke question her love for him, placing their engagement in jeopardy. And the presence of an outside competitor for the top job causes the other attendings to act like hyper-competitive jerks, potentially risking the health of Crush and Derek's patient (an old friend of his, natch).
Finally, Alex has moved into Meredith's house, causing Izzie to feel awkward and uncomfortable. And George finally discovers that the reason Callie can afford to live in a fancy hotel on her resident's salary is that she's an heiress. This naturally leads to a fight between the two of them, and she kicks him out of the hotel. He runs back to Meredith's to do some drinking and get some consolation from Izzie. And console him she does, as they wake up naked and in bed together.
Dylan and Denny are tasked with talking Meredith through her death and getting her to realize what happened in the water. Fortunately, Doc the dog is also there to be a warm body to pet while she's dead. Bonnie, the girl that died in the train wreck, as well as Meredith's mom's former scrub nurse are also both there to help her out. She's finally able to admit to Denny that for one second in the water she wondered why she was fighting and gave up. But admitting that helps her to realize she wants to live, though it may be too late. It's at that moment that she sees her mom, who dies despite McDreamy's efforts to save her so that two Dr. Greys don't perish on the same day. Once together, Ellis is able to finally tell her daughter that she's "anything but ordinary," which gives Meredith what she needs to go back to the land of the living, much to the relief of Bailey, Webber, and Burke, who have gone to heroic measures to try to save her. The greatest relief, though, is for Cristina. She can't handle her friend's situation and tries to find solace at the 99-cent store, but her fiancée finally finds her drunk at the bar and gets her to come back to see her "person." She does, and is able to be the one who is there to help Meredith wake up -- with seemingly no adverse side effects from being legally dead for a couple of hours.
Alex, meanwhile, tends to Crush since he can't handle being inactive. She has amnesia, but they are able to talk a bit and start to bond. Izzie is finally facing the consequences of what she said when George picks his wife instead of his friend. And Addison realizes that what Derek and Meredith have together is something she and Derek never did. McSteamy tries to convince her that he could be that man in her life, and so she challenges him to 60 days of chastity to prove that he really wants a relationship with her. It's kind of ludicrous, but actually a good thing, since the rest of the hour could leave the most stoic man alive sitting in a pile of his own soggy Kleenex.
It's the filler middle in our three-episode sandwich. Izzie drills a hole in her patient's skull to relieve the pressure on his brain, thereby becoming a neurological rock star. George wanders around looking for his patient's son (because he told her that her son was found and doing well). He eventually finds the son on Callie's operating table. Alex realizes that the best way to help worried family members identify their loved ones is to take pictures of all the patients and corpses from the ferryboat accident and post them on the bulletin board. And Cristina wanders around, doing nothing much except asking where Meredith is. The answer to that question is "bobbing around in the water." That is, until Derek notices Meredith's jacket draped across a patient and asks creepy silent Mini-Meredith where she is. He dives in and saves Meredith, but she's hypothermic, not breathing, and very possibly dead. Yikes.
Time Has Come Today - Izzie won't get up off the floor. McDreamy and George are quarantined because of the plague. Bailey feels extreme guilt. Addison finds the panties! Meredith finds out she has to choose between McVet and McDreamy.
I Am A Tree - Meredith decides to date. Addison gets really drunk. Izzie bakes muffins. Bailey feels guilty. Callie dances in her panties. Burke's Mama visits!
Sometimes A Fantasy - Super powers, super dating, and super stupidity all combine to remind us that if it hurts, we shouldn't pick at it.
What I Am - What's your drug of choice? Mine's Demerol, but Meredith goes for morphine when she comes down with appendicitis, and hilarity ensues. She also finally gets enough clarity to make a choice, but that's actually made when she's sober. Our little baby's all growns up!
Oh, The Guilt - Everybody feels guilt, because they've done things like killing a patient, lying to their partner, being angry with their baby, and sleeping with the wrong person (that one applies to several different characters). But nobody feels gilt, because nobody is covered in a layer of thin gold foil.
Let The Angels Commit - Izzie is committed to her medical career. Cristina is committed to a suicide pact with Burke. George is committed to being a pig. Mark is committed to being an ass. And Derek is committed to himself, at least for a while.
Where The Boys Are - It's a sausagefest in the woods as all of the male cast members except for McSteamy head out for a camping trip in the woods. Back at Seattle Grace, things are generally sad, as Bailey busts Cristina for her duplicity with regard to the O.R. board, Izzie is forced to talk about her feelings, and Addison and Callie treat a woman whose baby died in utero. And in the end, Meredith and McDreamy decide to make a fresh start of it.
Staring At The Sun - George's dad will be fine, right? Because Burke is fine, and Meredith and Derek are shiny and happy, and Bailey is confident as a mother and surgeon, and Cristina hasn't turned unusually modest. Except for none of that being true, everything is totally going to be fine. Seriously fine.
From A Whisper To A Scream - In the wake of a car accident, just about every secret in the hospital comes out at once, but the one with the most repercussions has got to be Burke's pesky tremor.
Don't Stand So Close To Me - Pretty much everybody spends the entire episode pushing everyone away from them. Burke pushes Cristina and Derek away. Cristina pushes Meredith away. Meredith pushes her step-mother away. George, Izzie and Alex all push Cristina away. Mark pushes Izzie away, but I think that's just so he can get a nice look as she walks away.
Six Days: Part 1 - Alex realizes that he really belongs with Addison instead of Mark, and that might mean more than just operating on babies; George's dad goes into really big and scary surgery; Izzie deposits The Check; and Meredith snores. We're basically just laying the groundwork for anything that might happen in Part II.
Six Days: Part 2 - Everything set up last series is resolved, but not all in a good way. On the good side, Derek and Meredith make peace over her snoring, and Meredith chats with her father. Also, Izzie's patient is able to walk upright, and Burke and Cristina finally speak. On the bad side, George's father dies. And on the really unfortunate side, Addison and Alex suck face.
Great Expectations - Can we all give up our technology and live on a farm and drive a horse and buggy? After seeing this episode, you may just want to.
Wishin' and Hopin' - If you ever wondered about the genesis of Meredith's drinking, one-night-standing, and other assorted emotional issues, they're all explained in one heartbreaking conversation with her momentarily lucid mother.
Walk on Water - In the first of a three-part Very Special Episode, a ferry accident brings in tons of victims, but each intern ends up with one in particular that puts them to the test. Oh, and Meredith may or may not end up dead after being pushed into the Sound.
